Emergency at Polling Station: Bengaluru Doctor Saves Voter’s Life

Bengaluru: A doctor saved the life of a woman who suffered a heart attack while waiting for her turn to cast her vote at a polling station in Jamboo Savari Dinne in the city’s JP Nagar on Friday.

According to sources, a 50-year-old woman collapsed when she went to drink water from a nearby water can placed in the polling station premises. At the same time, nephrologist Dr. Ganesh Srinivas Prasad, who practices at Narayan Hospital in Bommasandra was also waiting in the queue to cast his vote, immediately administered CPR after checking her pulse.

The doctor said that the woman showed signs of recovery after the CPR. She was given water, and the polling booth staff offered her juice before she was shifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Polling Booth Staff Dies on Duty

A-58-year-old woman who was deployed for election related work died due to cardiac arrest inside the polling station in Chitradurga district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Yashodamma, she was deployed as polling booth officer at a polling booth established at Megal Gollarhatti in Hotteppanahalli in Challakere taluk.

Sources said, Yashodamma was a teacher at Bommasandra Government School in Challakere.
