A 21-year-old engineering student has lodged a police complaint alleging sexual harassment by a mobile repair shop owner and his assistant in Bengaluru’s HAL area.
Police said a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
Complaint after phone repair visit
According to officers, the student, a resident of Kundalahalli, had visited a shop identified as CELAP to repair her mobile phone.
The shop owner, Sameer, allegedly replaced the phone screen and kept the handset for further camera repair after charging Rs 3,800.
When the student returned a week later, he allegedly made obscene remarks and sexually inappropriate comments, according to the complaint.
Messages sent late at night

Later, on April 25, the shop assistant Naushad allegedly began sending similar messages.
