Bengaluru: Four former MLAs of the Congress party have approached the Karnataka High Court, alleging EVM hacking to be the cause of their loss in the recently held state assembly elections.
Taking a cue from JR Lobo, the former MLA of Mangaluru South who was the first to file a petition in the High Court on Thursday, three other Congress leaders – B.A. Mohiuddin Bava, M.K. Somashekar and Vasu, who lost to their BJP opponents while contesting from the Mangaluru North constituency, Krishnaraja constituency of Mysuru and Chamaraja constituency in Mysuru respectively, have filed a petition in the High Court.
The leaders have claimed that malfunctioning, tampering of EVMs was responsible for their loss in the elections.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that several other Congress candidates too are mulling moving the High Court with the same grievance.
