Bengaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has proved once again that he is the real boss of in the Congress state unit. With irrigation minister DK Shivakumar failing to bring the party MLAs from Ballari together to select the party candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-polls, Siddu has stepped in and resolved the crisis.
According to sources, the party MLAs had made it clear to the KPCC leadership that they are not ready to work under DK Shivakumar, who they claim is trying to take control of the party district unit. Following this, the KPCC deputed former CM Siddaramaiah to resolve the issue and on Friday evening, he held a meeting with all the MLAs and finalised two names.
“In the meeting, Siddu made it clear to all the MLAs that all the MLAs must work together, regardless of who is named the party candidate, or face action,” said sources.
