Exam scam: Post-doctoral scholar of UoM held in B’luru

Bengaluru: Four days after the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) approached the Malleshwaram police over the alleged leak of question paper for the Assistant Professors’ recruitment exam, the city police arrested a post-doctoral research scholar of the University of Mysore (UoM).

R. Sowmya has been identified as the arrested woman. She is facing allegations that she forwarded 18 questions from a geology paper to a friend before the exam began.

Interestingly she also wrote examination for the post which was held on March 14.

According to the sources, Sowmya was arrested on the night of Sunday April 24 at her residence in Mysuru City. She was later brought to Bengaluru. She has been sent to judicial custody.
