Bengaluru: Kollegal MLA N Mahesh who served BSP for over two decades that includes being party State Init President joined BJP officially on Thursday August 5.
He was expelled from BSP in July 2019 for abstaining from voting at the time of the floor test of the H. D. Kumaraswamy-led JDS-Congress Coalition Government.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, former CM B. S. Yediyurappa, B. Y. Vijayendra, and other dignitaries received him to the party fold. BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Bommai said, “Mahesh’s induction into the party will help us to reach out to more communities. He is the leader of all the communities.”
“His ideology and BJP ideology are not different,” Bommai added.
Mahesh on the occasion said that BJP is now the party of one and as it has reached out to everyone in the State.
