Bengaluru: In a major boost to the BJP state government led by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, expelled BSP MLA N Mahesh has extended his support him.
“I assured him (BSY) my support in all difficult times. In return, I expect more funds for my constituency Kollegal,” he stated.
In July 2019, the BSP had expelled Mahesh from the party after he didn’t attend the crucial trust vote of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government led by H D Kumaraswamy.
“Under the coalition government, Kollegal suffered a lot. I hope BSY will extend his support to my constituency,” he said.
“I am an independent MLA now. BSY has fulfilled 75% of the assurances he has given to all those who quit the JD(S) and Congress and joined the BJP. He will complete his term,” he said.
N Mahesh, former state unit president of the BSP, is a first-time MLA.
