Bengaluru: The very popular phrase ‘Nikhil Yelliddiyappa’ may become the title of a film very soon as the Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce has reportedly given it to a producer named Ganesh.
Nikhil Yelliddiyappa became a hot topic for memes and trolling after actor Nikhil Kumaraswamy was announced as the alliance candidate for the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency. He is the son of Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and his MLA wife Anitha Kumaraswamy. Several memes mushroomed around Nikhil Yelliddiyappa during the polls.
According to the sources in the film chamber, another title ‘Jodettu’ too has been allocated to another producer by name Ramamurthy, who has already announced that he will produce a film under this title with Challenging Star Darshan as lead. It may be recalled that CM HD Kumaraswamy had addressed Actors Darshan and Yash as ‘Jodettu’ for standing like pillars of support for Mandya independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh.
Chamber president Chinnegowda stated that a final decision will be announced after the chamber executive committee meeting.
