Bengaluru: Final rites of former minister Jafar Sharif, who passed away on Sunday noon, will be held on Monday noon at Khabarstan on the Millar road of the city.
A decision in this regard was taken by the family members of Sharif.
Speaking to media, state food and civil supplies minister B Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan informed that one of the grandsons of Sharif is in Scotland and he is expected to arrive at the city on wee hours of Monday. “After his arrival, special prayers will be performed at Khadriya mosque and later the body will be buried at Khabarstan on Millar road.
“All the senior Congress leaders including former CM Siddaramaiah, DCM Dr G Parameshwar and others will participate in the final rites,” he said.
