Bengaluru: Bengaluru city shocked to know about arrest of a former soldier Jagadish who allegedly tried to murder the owner of Satellite Motors, Kengeri over a dispute regarding a bike registration. But, an investigation into this incident has blown the lid off a massive scam.
According to the Kengeri police, Jagadish fired bullets as the Satellite Motors staff failed to keep their words on his new bike registration even after two months. However, when the cops began their probe, the firing case took a backseat as they soon realised that Satellite Motors was selling BS3 standard bikes, which were banned by the Supreme Court on April 1.
According to the police, this company, in collusion with some officials from the state transport department has sold 48 bikes of
BS3 standards after April 1. “Due to some technical issues transport department officials were not able to register the bike bought by Jagadish. This irked him and led to verbal war resulting in firing. Now questions are raised on how transport department officials were able to register BS3 vehicles even after April 3,” said an officer.
Police are investigating the case and ascertaining if a racket is involved in the same.
