Five held for kidnapping Syndicate Bank employee

Bengaluru: Siddapura police have arrested five people for kidnapping a bank employee on September 27 from VV Puram Main Road in Bengaluru.

The police have identified the accused as Vinay Kumar alias Jack (27) of Dodda Mavalli, Satheesh alias Bully (24) of Kalasipalya Tank Garden, Vishnu (24) from 4th Cross near KEB Quarters, Dorekumar (23) of Hanumanthanagar and Lakshmanakumar (23) of Kanakanapalya, in Bengaluru. The police have seized 40 gram silver chain, Rs 11,500 cash and three two-wheelers from the accused.

According to the police, the accused have abducted Ramachandra (32), a Syndicate Bank employee, from VV Puram Main Road at around 12.30 pm on September 27 and took him to an under-construction building of Metro Junction near Lalbagh west gate. The accused robbed him of a Samsun mobile phone, Rs 1,500, a silver chain and ATM card. The victim hails from Tiptur. The accused have withdrawn Rs 40,000 by using the ATM card.

A case has been registered at Siddapura Police Station. The police are investigating the case.
