Bengaluru: Five miscreants attacked BBMP member Williams near the KG Halli area in the city on Tuesday night. He suffered severe injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Williams is a nominated member of the corporation.
According to the police, on Tuesday night, Williams was attacked while returning from his office in Gandhinagar. “Near KG Halli circle, a gang of five young men attacked him with lethal weapons. The locals, who witnessed the attack, rushed to his rescue,” police informed.
“Williams has been admitted to the hospital with multiple injuries. He is out of danger,” police said, adding that they would retrieve the CCTV footage from the area to trace the miscreants.
