Bengaluru: A move that would encourage women entrepreneurs, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that five percent of the industrial plots will be reserved for women entrepreneurs in the State.
Speaking after inaugurating the International Convention of Entrepreneurial Women on Wednesday, he said that two industrial townships will be developed exclusively for women entrepreneurs at Harohally near Kanakapura and Hubballi or Dharwad, he said.
Adding further he said,” Karnataka stands at top position in creating friendly atmosphere for women entrepreneurs. There are around 1.03 lakh women entrepreneurs in the state, and that figure needs to be increased in the coming days”.
