Five street dogs attack student in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A pack of dive street dogs attacked an eight-year-old student in Ramakka block of the Ramaswamy Palya ward of the city. Injured student has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment where he is recovering.

According to the police, the injured student is identified as Varun Sandesh, son of Rajesh and Bhuvaneshwari, residents of 2 main of Ramakka block. On Thursday evening, while Varun Sandesh was playing, five dogs attacked him. Locals who saw the incident rescued the boy rushed him to a private hospital for the treatment.

Locals staged a flash protest in front of the local BBMP office alleging that even though the street dog menace is rampant in the area since last 4-5 months no action has been taken. “We want BBMP to respond immediately. When we informed them about the dog attack they said as today is the Rajyotsava, they can’t come,” alleged locals.
