Bengaluru: Delivery companies such as Zomato, Swiggy, and Dunzo have started an online protest requesting that the Karnataka government provide a Covid relief package for their employees.

United Food Delivery Partners’ Union led the protest. “Thousands of delivery employees have been working during the pandemic, risking their lives, and the government immediately announced a Covid-19 assistance package from them,” said union president Vinay Sarathy V.

They also urged that the state government give workers with vaccines as soon as possible, as well as protective gear such as masks, face shields, and sanitizers, as well as better compensation and incentives.
