Bengaluru: Former chief minister of Karnataka and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy, who has beensuffering from exhaustion due to his continuous tour schedule since last few days, has been admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru with complaints of fever, flu and chest congestion.
A statement from the leader said that owing he has developed fever and cough after constantly travelling in the sun and also due to the crackers fired by his supporters to welcome him in different places.
Kumaraswamy had been touring several places in Chitradurga, Mysuru districts for the past several days.
Since he has been advised rest for five days, Kumaraswamy has withdrawn himself from all engagements for the next few days.
All relevant investigations are being done, the hospital said in a statement.
“He is on antibiotics and responding well. Kumaraswamy’s condition is stable and he is resting now. We are hopeful of his discharge in a day or two,” said Dr K S Satish, consultant pulmonologist and chest physician, Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru.
