Bengaluru: An image of Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban featured as a postman from a page of a textbook in Karnataka has gone viral on Monday January 31.

In the film “Oridathoru Postman,” Boban played the part of Raghunandan, a postman. He sarcastically commented on social media, “Anganey Karnatakayil Government Joliyum Set Aayi,’’ (I have a government job in Karnataka).”
“The standard of education in our state is crumbling under BJP. Students have a reduced syllabus and there is no supervision of the government over teaching,” tweeted Bengaluru Rural MP D. K. Suresh.

“Where are these textbooks being prepared @BCNagesh_bjp & @nimmasuresh? Are they being done at Keshav Krupa or at the Education Dept? Today, the entire state stands ashamed infront of the nation due to BJPs incompetence,” he added.

Former Education Minister Suresh, in response to the criticism, said that it is not an official textbook published by the State Education Department.

“Don’t rush! Before you comment on anything, analyse it! A private company published the textbook with the Malayalam actor’s photo on it. D. K. Suresh is trying to mislead people and malign the BJP government,” he clarified.
