Bengaluru’s JJ Nagar police have arrested four individuals for selling banned e-cigarettes. The accused, Mohammad Jawadullah (53), Mujeeb ur Rehman (21), Umez Khan (20), and Mohammad Mazhar (38), were caught selling the prohibited items from a shop near Padarayanpur.

The police raid seized 106 banned electronic cigarettes, two chargers, 12 refills, and ₹1.50 lakh in cash. The accused had been operating illegally, selling e-cigarettes to the public from a shop next to the Urban Clothing building.

The police acted on a tip-off, leading to the arrest and seizure. This crackdown on banned e-cigarettes is part of Bengaluru’s efforts to enforce the nationwide ban on electronic cigarettes, imposed due to health concerns.

The police action sends a strong message against illegal sales of prohibited items. The ban on e-cigarettes aims to protect public health, and the authorities are taking concrete steps to ensure compliance.
