Bengaluru: A gang of four, including a woman have been detained by the CCB police on charges of selling ganja to the inmates of Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.
The police have recovered 21 kg of narcotic substances from the gang.
Venilla, 48, her son Appu, 24, Manjunath, 33, and Vinod Kumar, 27 were arrested on Sunday. All are residents of Anjanappa Garden in Cottonpet. Another accused, who is said to be a flower vendor, is absconding.
Based on a tip-off Venilla and her son Appu were caught red-handed and during interrogation they confessed to the crime. They revealed that they were giving the ganja to a flower vendor who was supplying flowers to the prison.
