Bengaluru: In a joint, planned operation, the Ramanagara and CCB police detained four Nigerian natives who were allegedly involved in a number of cybercrimes across the state.
The police are tight-lipped about the developments as the arrest is expected to be a major breakthrough in the cyber crimes that have been reported across the state.
According to sources, based on the tip-off provided by the intelligence wing, the CCB police launched an operation to nab the accused. They tried to escape by driving towards Mysuru. However, the CCB police alerted the Ramanagara police, who detained them near the town on Mysuru road.
The CCB police have taken them into custody and launched an investigation at the CCB office in Bengaluru.
