Bengaluru: The Bagalur police arrested Sadath Khan alias Preetham Kumar on June 22, the fraud lover boy who cheated over hundred girls on the pretext of getting married.
Sadath used to trap lonely and divorced gullible women through matrimonial websites by posting his profile as government employee seeking marriage. After extorting the money from women, he used to dump them and carry on with his hunt for new prospective brides.
In this regard, a case is registered in Bagalur Police Station Cr. No. 118/2017 under sections 341, 354, 392, 384, 420, 506 of IPC.
After a detailed investigation, it is revealed that the accused extorted money in lakhs of rupees by cheating a number of women in the process. Introducing himself as an eligible bachelor looking for a suitable bride under various fictitious names on different matrimonial websites, Sadath used to promise them of marriage to pocket them.
Several cases have been registered against him in this regard in K R Puram, Jayanagar and Vidyaranyapuram police stations of Bangalore city and also in other police stations including Hebbugodi, Doddaballapur and Dharwad sub urban police stations. Detailed investigation is in progress in order to find out if there are other victims too.
The accused used false names to keep in touch with new women.
History
Sadath completed his schooling and later ITI at Siddeshwara College, Hassan in 2008. He was thrown out of the house by his father for being a chronic alcoholic.
He came to Bangaluru in 2011 and started working in a welding shop at Yeswanthpur. Later he worked as a telecaller at Koramangala Country Club, Sarco Company in Hebbala and Alsec on M G Road. He ended losing most jobs after misbehaving with females he had come across as a telecaller.
After having remained jobless for a long time, he registered himself as a paid candidate at various matrimonial websites and started communicating with many girls. He utilised the extorted earning to lead a flamboyant lifestyle by staying at various luxury hotels and spending on shopping at malls, renting cars. Many girls from Mysore, Dharwad, Bengaluru city, Doddaballapur became his victims and only few registered a complaint against him.
