Front runner seats given to those with suitcases, says Prajwal Revanna

Bengaluru: It seems everything is not well within the JDS first family. On Thursday evening, Prajwal Revanna, son of former minister HD Revanna and grandson of H D Deve Gowda alleged that few party leaders are honoring those who bring suitcase by allocating front seats in the party.

Speaking at a party convention in Hunsur town, Prajwal alleged that those who work for the party are forced to sit in the back and those who bring a suitcase are honored.

His comments have come in the backdrop of party state president HD Kumaraswamy’s decision to allocate Hunsur assembly constituency to the former minister, Kuruba strongman H Vishwanath who recently made a switch over from the Congress to JDS.

“I wanted to contest from Hunasuru constituency. But I am sacrificing the seat keeping in mind the interest of the party in 2018 general election,” he said.

“Most of the JDS leaders have different ideas about their future in the party,” he said.

His comments are attributed to increasing tension within the family of former prime minister HD Devegowda. It is alleged that Prajwal wanted to contest from Hunasuru while HD Kumaraswamy was against the idea.
