A massive tree trunk fell on Central Street Road in Bengaluru on Sunday evening, causing significant damage and injuries. The incident, which occurred around 5:30 pm near Anil Kumble Circle, resulted in at least two cars being crushed and three people injured.

Details of the Incident:

  • Injured Individuals: Nakul (driver), Anusha (front passenger), and Natasha (backseat) were in a Maruti Suzuki Swift. Nakul lost consciousness on impact.
  • Hospital Report: One person sustained a major head injury and chest pain, suggesting a possible rib fracture. Another reported head and neck pain, nausea, and nasal bleeding. CT scans and further consultations are underway to determine treatment.
  • Damage: The tree trunk severely damaged the Swift’s roof and windshield. Three scooters and a BMTC bus narrowly avoided the falling trunk.
  • Traffic Disruption: The incident halted traffic and caused major delays in Central Bengaluru.

The injured were quickly rescued and taken to Fortis Hospital on Cunningham Road. The situation has been under control, but the fallen trunk created significant disruption in one of the city’s busiest areas.
