Bengaluru: The Girinagar police of the city detained two youths who visited the Girinagar office of the Basavanagudi MLA Ravi Subramanya saying they are the part of BJP national president Amith Shah’s team.
According to the sources, the team was able to enter the BJP office by producing fake letterheads and identity cards. Ravi Subramanya, who developed suspicion alerted the Girinagar police who detained the two members of the team.
Police declined to share more information saying an investigation is in progress.
The BJP leaders fear that the team would have cheated several leaders and activists by misusing the names of the party national leaders.
