Bengaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has pressed for a punishment that will make Amulya understand the mistake she has committed.
“Shouting pro-Pakistan slogan is an act that must be condemned.The police must conduct a probe and she must be given a punishment that will make her aware of the mistake that she has committed, the former CM said in a tweet.
Amulya Leona, a journalism students had shouted Pakistan Zindabad during an anti-CAA protest at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park, on Thursday, which was attended by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
While her action has been condemned by all, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had said that Amulya has links with the Maosists.
Former CM HD Kumaraswamy too has criticised Amulya, who has been booked under sedition charges and remanded to 14 day judicial custody.
