Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress President (KPCC) D. K. Shivakumar expressed confidence that the people of Goa want change and that no single party candidate will leave his camp ahead of the counting for the 40 seats in the Goa Assembly elections.
“Goa voters want change, and they want a Congress-led government. Our candidates have all pledged their loyalty. There won’t be a single applicant who will leave the camp. They will stay together. We have all travelled to Goa from Karnataka solely to assist them,” he said.
Following reports that the single-phase election in Goa can result in a hung Assembly, Shivakumar was rushed to the State on the evening of Tuesday March 8.
