Bengaluru: Puneeth Rajkumar’s admirers have a reason to celebrate. The state government is ready to inaugurate an eye bank under the name of “Appu.”
The prevalence of visual impairments is on the rise, leaving many individuals who have lost their sight due to various causes eager to regain their vision. In response, the health department has devised a plan to boost eye donations, offering renewed hope to those in need.
As a result, the government intends to establish an eye bank under the name of Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar. Given that, as of October 2021, the number of individuals registered with Narayana Nethralaya has exceeded 140,000, this initiative is being pursued in honor of Appu.
