Bengaluru: A High Court divisional bench, hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), which seeks regulations to remove flexes and hoardings in the city, slammed the state government for delaying finalising the BBMP outdoor signage and public messaging bylaws 2018.
The government has been repeatedly asking for more time to finalise advertisement bylaws. Observing this, the bench headed by Acting Chief Justice L Narayana Swamy, ruled out that the government cannot repeatedly ask for more time, and such appeals will not be entertained.
“The Department of Parliamentary Affairs, which will finalise the draft in the next three days,” said the advocate general.
