Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister, JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda expressed confidence that JDS-Congress coalition government will last for five years. He also made it clear that there are no internal problems in the government.
Addressing the JDS lawmakers at the JDS legislature party meeting in a private hotel of the city, Gowda urged the JDS leaders not to think too much about the Lok Sabha election results. “The votes are already safe in the EVMs. There is no use in discussing the voting pattern at this stage. Even if the party fails to retain a few seats don’t bother. Let us organise the party,” he said.
He also called upon the MLAs not to react on the statements made by the Congress party leaders. “The AICC will ensure the stability of this government and it will sort out the rebel issues in the party,” he said.
Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy assured the MLAs that their demands related to transfers, and developmental activities will be considered in coming days.
PWD minister HD Revanna didn’t attend the meeting due to personal reasons.
