Bengaluru: The number of deaths in the December 8 helicopter crash which claimed the life of Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat now touched 14 with Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor succumbing to burn injuries. Group Capt Varun Singh succumbs to burn injuries. He breathed his last in the morning of Wednesday December 15.
He was being treated at the Command Hospital in the City.

It can be recalled here that he was rushed to a local hospital in Tamil Nadu after he was found alive. From Tamil Nadu he was rushed to the Command hospital for the further treatment.
