Bengaluru: While speaking at Channapatna in Ramanagara district on February 7, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy explained that his party has not entered into any kind of mutual understanding with BJP. He further said that the only understanding that exists with the BJP is for the specific issue of election to the post of the legislative council chairman.
He went on to say that the government should respect the sentiments of religious leaders. “I have been closely observing the political developments happening in the state. Religious leaders have entered the fray on behalf of the society. The government should take precautionary measures before these things go out of hand,” he opined.
Speaking about the farmers protest in Delhi, he expressed that the Prime Minister should have held a meeting with the farmers rather than the Minister for agriculture so that he can explain to them about the misconceptions if any they may be having about the law.
“The farmers have said that they will continue with their agitation till October. They have been fighting against the agricultural laws for the last over 70 days. Therefore, it would be prudent for the PM to take immediate measures to maintain law and order in the country,” he felt.
