Bengaluru: Former chief minister and Janata Dal (S) resident H D Kumarasamy successfully underwent a heart surgery here at Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru on September 22.
HDK underwent 45-minutes long valve replacement surgery conducted by three doctors from London and five heart specialists from India.
The surgery was conducted under lead doctor and senior cardio thoracic and vascular surgeon Dr. Satyaki P Nambala.
HDK had undergone a valve replacement surgery in 2007 and had to undergo the same once again following rapid deterioration of the valve tissue in his heart.
Following surgery, local leaders and party workers hosted prayers and offerings for their leader’s recovery.
