Bengaluru: Congress legislator from Hanagal Srinivas Mane could not take oath as MLA on Thursday November 11 after he insisted on waiting for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar who got in late to the ceremony while Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri declined to wait any longer.

Kageri after administering oath to BJP MLA Ramesh Bhusnur left the venue in Vidhana Soudha as Srinivas Mane who went outside just before his swearing-in to get Shivakumar as he insisted that he would take oath in KPCC President’s presence requested for more time to which Kageri said that it can’t be fulfilled.

However, Mane did not seem to be disappointed. He said we must listen to the Speaker, and that another date will be fixed for my oath-taking. Even Shivakumar in his arrival requested Kageri on phone yet Kageri said that Mane’s swearing-in will be undertaken some other day as he had prior commitment at present.
