Bengaluru: The State Cabinet has decided to give Rs 30 lakh and provide group C government post to late DySP Kallpapa’s wife.
Announcing the decision after the cabinet meeting, law Minister TB Jayachandra said, that late DySP’s wife Vidya will receive the compensation of Rs 30 lakhs as well as a government group C posting.
The CID investigation team in its report said, that there is no connection between Tejas Gowda’s kidnapping incident and DySP Kallappa Handibhag’s suicidal death. The investigation agency confirmed, Kallppa was not involved either in the kidnap or in accepting the ransom amount of Rs 10 lakhs. Associates of Tejas Gowda had kept Rs 10 lakh amount on the walls of DySp’s police quarters compound which was taken away by Praveen Khandya’s associates and confirmed that late DySP had no clues about the cash amount , in its report submitted to the government.
