The lively beats of Kannada music set the stage for a morning of community fun at The Times of India’s Happy Streets in Konanakunte, South Bengaluru. Kicking off early Sunday, Navaraga Band energized the crowd at 19th Cross Road near Narayana Nagara Playground, filling the air with rhythm and joy.

Participants engaged in a variety of creative and interactive activities. Many rushed to the hand-painting station, leaving with colorful butterfly imprints. Others attended a hands-on CPR training session by Alert NGO or screen-printed their own copies of the Preamble, a constitutional literacy initiative by Reclaim Constitution.

Children took on thrilling challenges like cup-stacking races, advanced hopscotch, and even powered their own juice blenders by cycling. Martial arts demonstrations by OSK Federation of India left the audience in awe, as young practitioners showcased powerful self-defense moves and broke tiles with precision.

Art and culture thrived at the rangoli-making station by Rangavalli Arts Foundation, where visitors explored intricate patterns used in temple restoration. Pottery, storytelling by ACEnovation, and improv theatre sessions led by Thespian Sreenivas Beesetty encouraged creativity and spontaneity.

Locals appreciated the unique experience, with many expressing hopes for its expansion to other parts of Bengaluru. The event, sponsored by Bhima Jewellers, will return to Konanakunte for the next two Sundays.
