Harassed man ends life near Bengaluru, names BJP leader and others in viral video
In a tragic incident near Bengaluru, a 35-year-old man, Praveen Gowda Belur, reportedly took his own life after recording a video on Facebook, accusing several people — including a BJP functionary — of severe emotional and physical mistreatment.
In the emotionally charged video, Belur claimed he had been under psychological torment for the past two months. He named Kiran Gowda, Harish, Bhaskar Narayanappa, Doddahagade Madhu Gowda, and Saravana as the primary individuals responsible for his distress.
Of these, Belur singled out Kiran Gowda, pleading with authorities to hold him fully accountable, stating he was the main cause of his emotional breakdown. He also alleged that Krishna Gowda habitually harassed women via inappropriate phone calls.
Further, Belur made serious accusations against BJP Mandal president Muniraju Gowda, along with local ward member Bhagyamma and her husband Srinivas. He alleged that he was deceitfully invited to Muniraju’s residence under the guise of discussing finances. Once there, Bhagyamma and Srinivas allegedly summoned a group that physically attacked him for almost two hours and confiscated his mobile phone.
Shortly after uploading the video, Belur was found dead — hanging from a tree beside a school in Anekal, situated on Bengaluru’s outskirts.
If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, please seek help.
