Bengaluru: The 10th accused in the murder case of Hindu activist Harsha in Shivamogga was denied bail by the NIA special court in Bengaluru on May 30.

Jafar Siddiqui, the 10th accused in the case, sought bail from the court on medical grounds. Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) P. Prasanna Kumar, on the other hand, alleged that Jafar had cooperated with the case’s prime suspect. Further, he argued that interrogation is still ongoing and that investigators have yet to file a full report on Jaffer’s involvement.

Harsha’s murder was not driven by personal enmity. An NIA probe has revealed proof that the Hindu activist was murdered to create a situation of “panic and terror” among the public, said SPP.
