Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court gave relief to D S Karthik, son of Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, after it allowed the criminal petition filed by him on Friday. Justice Anand Byrareddy quashed the proceedings pending against him in cheating case.
Actress Mythreyi Gowda had registered cheating case at R T Nagar police station. Mythreyi Gowda had alleged that Karthik cheated her after promising to marry her. Karthik had challenged the proceedings pending against him before a trial court relating to the case.
A chargesheet was filed against Karthik on charges of cheating by RT Nagar police. Charges of rape were dropped due lack of evidences.
