Bengaluru: The High Court here has asked for the response of the State Government on a plea seeking action against B. Y. Vijayendra, the son of Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa, for violating lockdown norms.
The order for the government’s response was passed based on the memorandum filed by advocate G. R. Mohan. The photographic evidences of Vijayendra and his wife visiting the temple has been submitted along with the plea.
It can be recalled here that Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s son B.Y. Vijayendra’s visit to Shrikanteshwara Temple, Nanjangud on Tuesday May 18 had sparked off a row. As per lockdown norms, only priests are allowed to perform daily rituals in the temple with devotees being prohibited an into the temples.
