Bengaluru: Following the bundh called for by pro-Kannada organisations on Thursday seeking solution for the Mahadayi issues, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy demanded the organizations to explain what they have achieved with the bundh.
Calling it a state government sponsored bundh, HDK, in a press conference said that there was no need otherwise to close government offices and services.
“BJP alleges that bundh call was given as their President Amit Shah visited Mysore and it will be done again as Modi visits the state. In retaliation to this, the BJP is getting ready to give a bundh call during Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s visit. National parties don’t want the betterment of the state,” he said condemning the ‘politics of bundh’ flourishing in the state.
