Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy held a strategy meeting with regard to the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency with major irrigation minister D K Shivakumar and his brother, incumbent MP D K Suresh. Several senior Congress and JDS leaders from the constituency attended the meeting.
At the meeting held in a hotel in the city, the attendees discussed the strategy to be followed in the constituency to keep the BJP at bay. “It was decided to ensure that the JDS and Congress activists will not fight at the local level and ensure smooth coordination,” said a leader who attended the meeting.
CM HDK adviced both party leaders, during the meeting, not to depend on him or DKShi as they have state-level commitments. “We will help to finalise a strategy. But we can’t be available for the campaign,” he said.
