Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has posed several questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and incumbent state Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa regarding the effect of the country’s economic condition on the state.

Through a series of tweets on his official Twitter account, HDK asked, “The state treasury is empty and the financial condition has completely collapsed. Sectors which contribute immensely towards the economic growth of the country have failed to contribute. What is the reason? The Centre’s worst economic policies have stagnated the development of the country and are now affecting Karnataka too.”

“The Centre has not sanctioned the tax share of 5.44 percent that has to come to the state. The Centre is not bothered about the development of Karnataka. It only wants Lok Sabha seats from the state and nothing else. PM Modi has not spoken a word about this,” he wrote in his second tweet.

In his third tweet, HDK wrote, “BSY, after taking the oath as the CM, informed that the economic condition of the state is stable. But now he has a different version. None of the relief funds, special grants, and sanctions have been initiated by the Central Government towards the state. BSY has no guts to ask the Centre for the necessary funds. BSY is the weakest CM, as he has not been able to ask for the share that the state deserves.”

In his last tweet in the string, he wrote, “PM Modi has formed a government with the help of 25 parliamentarians from the state. BSY has formed the government with the help of disqualified MLAs. Could the both of you, who have visited the Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru, answer all my questions?”
