Heavy rain alert for 2 days in designated Districts

Bengaluru: Seven districts, encompassing south interior Karnataka and coastal Karnataka, are under a yellow alert for two days starting from November 22. The Meteorological Department cautions of substantial to extremely heavy rainfall in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi districts on November 24.

Rainfall is expected in Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkaballapura, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagar districts.

Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, and Chikkamagaluru districts are under a yellow alert. The lowest minimum temperature, at 14.5 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Vijayapura.

Expect rainfall in several locations across coastal and south interior Karnataka, with dry weather anticipated in a few areas of north interior Karnataka.
