Bengaluru: Normal life across the city was disrupted following heavy rains which began at around 1 PM. There has been no reprieve from the rains even after three hours.
The worst affected areas were West and South Bengaluru including the Central Business District. Mallleshwarram, Padmanabahanagar, MG Road, Brigade Road, and the surrounding areas received a good amount of rainfall.
In many places, traffic was thrown out of gear due to the accumulation of rain water on the roads. There was disruption in the power supply which also affected the festival celebrations. The devotees were forced to change their plans of visiting the temples.
