Hemant Nimbalkar is new IGP of Karnataka Western Range

Bengaluru: The state government on Monday transferred five senior IPS officers. The latest shake up has seen the government post M Hemant Nimbalkar, a 1998 batch IPS officer, awaiting posting as Inspector-General of Police (Western Range) headquartered in Mangaluru, relieving the incumbent P Harishekaran, who has been posted as IGP (Headquarters), Bengaluru.

Likewise, Bijay Kumar Singh, IGP (training) has been posted as IGP (Intelligence) in the existing vacancy.

Ravi P, IGP and additional commissioner of police (crime), Bengaluru City Police has been posted as IGP and director (security and vigilance), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, Bengaluru in place of N Satheesh Kumar, a 2003 batch officer and deputy IGP who has been posted to Ravi’s place in the downgraded post.
