Bengaluru: The High Court has intervened in a case involving the attempted return of land ownership to Dalits by the taluk administration. In a landmark ruling, the court has ordered the revenue department to hand over the land to its rightful owners. The disputed land, located in Kundana Hobli Singrahalli in Devanahalli taluk, was unlawfully targeted by individuals who sought to misappropriate it through fraudulent means.

S.M. Anand Kumar, a determined advocate for justice, filed a petition with the Sub-Divisional Officer and DC, and has been engaged in a lengthy legal struggle spanning 15 years. His persistent efforts culminated in legal action against officials from the Taluk Revenue Department. Following the court’s directive, M. Sivanna from the Taluk Survey Department and other concerned officials undertook measurements and facilitated the formal transfer of ownership rights to the Dalit family in Singrahalli village.
