Bengaluru: The railway department has given good news to all those who travel between Belagavi, Dharwad and Hubbali, as it has decided to implement high-speed train.
Speaking to media, on Sunday, July 28, Minister of State, Union Railway Ministry, Suresh Angadi said, “The idea of implementing high-speed train similar to bullet trains between Belagavi-Hubbali-Dharwad is in the decision making process at the Centre. The idea is ease of movement. How there are bus services between these lines, likewise we are deciding on rail services, which will be more comfortable. For this the ministry is going through research and planning process currently.”
“In the planning process, it is being examined if whether the high-speed train shall be implemented on the Khanapur – Londa – Alnavar line, which already has rail services. Currently, there are no direct rail services between Belagavi-Dharwad”, he added.
