Hit-and-run case: Police nab accused

Bengaluru: The police have arrested a person in connection with a hit-and-run case in which a pedestrian was killed in Wilson Garden police limits on Saturday.

Two held for assaulting woman-1The police have identified the accused as Sunil G S (35), a resident of Marenahalli near Vijayanagar. Sunil was absconding after allegedly knocking down Rayappa (60), in front of Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology on Saturday evening.

Rayappa, who succumbed to his injuries was crossing the road towards the hospital where his wife was admitted when Sunil, who was riding his motorcycle, ran him over. The accident was witnessed by a security guard who noted down Sunil’s bike number.

Electrocuted

A construction worker was electrocuted while he was working at an underconstruction building at Hanumanthanagar. According to the police, he was carrying the material, at the building site, and accidentally came in contact with live wire.
