Bengaluru: Following a poor performance of the Congress in the Lok Sabha election Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee’s Campaign Committee President HK Patil has resigned from his post.

Speaking to the reporters in Hubballi HK Patil informed that he has sent his resignation paper to All India Congress Committee President Rahul Gandhi. He also stated that he accepts people’s verdict. “One of the reasons for the poor performance of the Congress candidates might be an alliance with the Janata Dal (S). National leaders of the party will take a decision on the future of the coalition government,” said Patil.

“It is the time for introspection for all of us,” he added.
