Bengaluru: Despite the spike in the Corona infection cases in Karnataka, the state government has no plans to clamp any kind of lockdown as of now, said Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Wednesday, April 14.
Speaking to reporters at Humnabad, Bommai said the people have to cooperate with the efforts of the Karnataka government in implementing the Covid containment guidelines issued and strictly adhere to the norms of compulsory wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and sanitization.
“There is no proposal of imposing any lockdown in front of the government,’’ the Home minister confirmed.
“Lockdowns during the weekends or any other action to contain the pandemic will depend on the situation,’’ he added.
